Meredith Sheeks
I am a Ph.D. candidate in philosophy at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Starting Autumn 2026, I am the Moral Philosophy Pedagogy Fellow for the Parr Center for Ethics. I also serve as a Graduate Fellow for the Parr Center and an Affiliated Graduate Student with the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics Program in Chapel Hill. During the summer of 2026, I was an active participant in the AI + Data Ethics (AIDE) Summer Program in Boston, MA.
My philosophical interests are broad, but my current work focuses on topics in ethics and epistemology. My dissertation, Morality without Moralizing, is about the authority of morality.
Before moving to Chapel Hill, I completed an M.A. in philosophy at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, IL and a B.S. in mathematics and theology at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee.
